Clean Room Equipment Air Shower Room with Adjustable Shower Time and High Velocity

Product Overview

Air Shower

A cleanroom air shower is a dedicated entryway chamber that serves as a decontamination barrier, using high-velocity, filtered air to remove particulate matter from personnel and objects prior to cleanroom entry.

How the Air Shower Works

Forming part of the personnel purification route, an air shower is normally installed between the gowning area and the controlled cleanroom area.

• 1. Personnel Entry
Entry to the air shower is from the gowning or lower-cleanliness side.
• 2. Door Interlocking
An interlocking system is applied to the entrance and exit doors to help prevent both doors from being opened simultaneously during normal operation.
• 3. Air Shower Cycle
To clear loose particles from exposed surfaces of cleanroom garments, filtered air flows through directional nozzles.
• 4. Air Recirculation and Filtration
The air circulation system recovers air and forces it through the filtration system according to the equipment configuration.
• 5. Cleanroom Entry
After the programmed shower cycle is done, the exit door can be released and personnel continue into the controlled area.

The actual shower cycle, airflow configuration, filtration arrangement and control logic should be picked according to the cleanroom design and project requirements.

Key Purposes

• Personnel Decontamination: To minimize the introduction of human-borne contaminants (from skin, hair, and street clothing).

• Material Transfer: To clean carts, tools, and supplies.

• Containment: In some designs, it can also act as an airlock to prevent unfiltered air from the less clean area from flowing into the higher-classification cleanroom.

Air Shower Types & Configurations

Cleanroom Applications

Air shower rooms are typically incorporated into the personnel purification route between gowning areas and controlled cleanroom spaces.

Standard applications include:

• Pharmaceutical manufacturing units
• Medical facilities and hospitals
• Laboratory suites
• Semiconductor and electronics processing
• Beverage production and food processing
• Cosmetics manufacturing plants
• Precision engineering environments

Together with the cleanroom layout, personnel flow, cleanliness requirements and operating procedures, the air shower configuration should be chosen rather than viewed as an isolated equipment component.

Engineering & Customization Process

• 1. Requirement Analysis
Check the cleanroom classification, personnel flow, available installation space and operating requirements.
• 2. Configuration Design
Select the air shower model, dimensions, door arrangement, filtration and control configuration according to the project.
• 3. Manufacturing
Fabricate and assemble the chamber, filtration system, fan section, doors and control elements according to the approved configuration.
• 4. Factory Inspection
Inspect the assembled unit, electrical system, door operation, interlock function and other applicable aspects before shipment.
• 5. Installation & Commissioning
Support site installation, connection and functional commissioning as required by the project.
• 6. Documentation
Provide applicable product drawings, operation instructions, maintenance information and records of testing.

Testing & Validation

• Visual examination of the unit
• Checking dimensions
• Door test
• Interlock check
• Blower operation test
• Light function test
• Checking of the control panel
• Airflow survey
• HEPA filter integrity testing as required
