Product Overview
An Air Shower is a mandatory purification device installed at the junction between a cleanroom and a non-clean area. Its core working mechanism is as follows: the built-in fan drives air through a HEPA/ULPA high-efficiency filter, and then the filtered air is ejected as high-speed purified airflow at a velocity of 20–30 m/s through multi-directional nozzles. This airflow performs a 360° dead-angle-free purge on personnel and materials entering the clean area, stripping off and capturing surface-adhered contaminants such as dust particles and hair. Meanwhile, relying on the double-door interlock structure, it forms an air curtain barrier to block direct air mixing between the two zones. Ultimately, it achieves the core goals of reducing the risk of introducing external contaminants and ensuring the cleanroom complies with ISO 14644 and GMP standards.

How the Air Shower Works
An air shower is usually installed between the gowning area and the controlled cleanroom area as part of the personnel purification route.
- 1. Personnel Entry
Operators enter the air shower from the gowning or lower-cleanliness side. - 2. Door Interlocking
The entrance and exit doors are managed by an interlocking system so that both doors are not opened simultaneously during normal operation. - 3. Air Shower Cycle
Through directional nozzles, filtered air is supplied to strip loose particles from exposed surfaces of cleanroom garments. - 4. Air Recirculation and Filtration
According to the equipment configuration, the air circulation system recovers air and passes it through the filtration system. - 5. Cleanroom Entry
When the programmed shower cycle has finished, the exit door can be released and personnel proceed into the controlled area.
