Air Shower

An Air Shower is a dedicated purification device installed at the entrance of cleanrooms or controlled environments, also referred to as an air shower tunnel or air shower gate. Its core purpose is to remove particulate contaminants (e.g., dust particles, hair, dander, and surface debris) adhering to the surfaces of personnel, workpieces, or materials before they enter the clean area.

How the Air Shower Works

An air shower is typically installed between the gowning area and the controlled cleanroom area as part of the personnel purification route.

• 1. Personnel Entry
  Staff enter the air shower from the gowning or lower-cleanliness side.
• 2. Door Interlocking
  An interlocking system controls the entrance and exit doors to help keep both doors from being opened at the same time during normal operation.
• 3. Air Shower Cycle
  Filtered air is delivered through directional nozzles, removing loose particles from the exposed surfaces of cleanroom garments.
• 4. Air Recirculation and Filtration
  The air circulation system recovers air and guides it through the filtration system in line with the equipment configuration.
• 5. Cleanroom Entry
  Once the programmed shower cycle is completed, the exit door can be released so that personnel proceed into the controlled area.
