  • Fresh Air/Return Air Mixing Section
     
    • Core Components: Electric fresh air dampers, electric return air dampers, electric exhaust air dampers, damper actuators, air volume sensors.
    • Working Logic: The control system adjusts the damper opening according to indoor CO₂ concentration, temperature and humidity deviation, or preset fresh air ratio. For example, civil buildings usually maintain a fresh air ratio of 20%~30% to ensure indoor oxygen content; clean rooms adjust the fresh air volume according to pressure difference requirements, and prevent external pollution from entering through the process of "fresh air supplement → positive pressure maintenance → excess air discharge through pressure relief valves".
    • Auxiliary Design: Some units are equipped with primary filters (optional) to intercept large-volume impurities such as leaves and catkins in fresh air, protecting the subsequent filtration section.
     
  • Filtration Section
     
    • Graded Filtration Configuration: As the core link to ensure the cleanliness of supply air, the standard configuration includes two-stage filtration (primary + medium-efficiency), and sub-high-efficiency filters can be added in high-demand scenarios.
      • Primary Efficiency Filters: Mostly plate-type or folded-type, made of non-woven fabrics or metal mesh. They filter particles with a diameter ≥5μm, intercept dust, hair and fibers, with a cleaning cycle of 1~3 months, and serve to protect medium-efficiency filters and fans.
      • Medium Efficiency Filters: Mostly bag-type, made of non-woven fabrics or glass fibers. They filter suspended particles with a diameter ≥1μm with higher filtration efficiency, with a replacement cycle of 3~6 months.
      • Sub-high-efficiency Filters (Optional): They filter particles with a diameter ≥0.5μm, used for pre-treatment in clean rooms, greatly reducing the load on terminal HEPA filters and extending their service life.
       
    • Monitoring Devices: Equipped with differential pressure switches or differential pressure transmitters to monitor the differential pressure across the filters in real time. When the differential pressure exceeds the set threshold (e.g., the differential pressure of medium-efficiency filters ≥150Pa), the system will send an alarm signal to remind operation and maintenance personnel to replace or clean the filters.
     
  • Temperature and Humidity Treatment Section
     
    As the core module for AHU to realize precise temperature and humidity control, it consists of three sub-functional units: cooling, heating and humidification, which can work independently or cooperatively.
     
    • Cooling/Dehumidification Unit
      • Core Components: Surface coolers (structure of copper tubes with aluminum fins), connected to chiller or refrigerant pipelines.
      • Working Principle: When air flows through the surface cooler, it exchanges heat with the chilled water/refrigerant inside the tubes, resulting in temperature drop. Meanwhile, water vapor in the air condenses into water droplets on the fin surface when the temperature drops below the dew point, which are discharged through the condensate pan and drain pipe to achieve dehumidification effect. This unit is the core for cooling and dehumidification in summer.
       
    • Heating Unit
      • Two Main Types:
        • Hot Water Heating: Hot water (from boilers or heat pumps) is passed into the surface cooler, and the air temperature is raised through heat exchange. It is energy-saving and environmentally friendly, suitable for large-area and long-term heating scenarios.
        • Electric Heating: Adopting stainless steel electric heating tubes, it features fast heating speed and high temperature control precision, can realize stage heating, and is often used for process constant temperature requirements or auxiliary heating in winter.
         
       
    • Humidification Unit
      • Three Optional Types Based on Needs:
        • Dry Steam Humidification: Steam is uniformly injected into the airflow after decompression and filtration, featuring droplet-free humidification and high precision, and is the first choice for clean rooms and electronic workshops.
        • Electrode Humidification: Steam is generated by heating water through electrode energization, with a control precision of up to ±2%RH, suitable for small and medium-sized high-precision scenarios.
        • High-pressure Spray Humidification: Water is atomized into tiny particles by high-pressure pumps, with low cost and large humidification capacity, suitable for civil buildings or general industrial workshops.
         
       
     
  • Fan Section
     
    • Core Components: Centrifugal fans (mainstream selection) or axial fans, variable frequency motors, shock absorption devices, fan frequency converters.
    • Fan Selection: Centrifugal fans have high air pressure and long air supply distance, suitable for long-distance air duct delivery in large buildings and clean rooms; axial fans have large air volume and low air pressure, mostly used in small-scale units.
    • Variable Frequency Control Logic: The motor is linked with the frequency converter to automatically adjust the fan speed according to the real-time indoor load (such as temperature and humidity deviation, pressure difference changes). For example, when the load of clean rooms decreases at night, the fan runs at a reduced speed, which can not only maintain the pressure difference, but also greatly reduce energy consumption.
    • Shock Absorption and Noise Reduction Design: Shock absorption springs or rubber shock absorption pads are installed at the bottom of the fan to isolate the transmission of vibration to the unit casing and building structure; flexible short pipes are installed at the air inlet and outlet of the fan to reduce noise caused by airflow pulsation.
     
  • Auxiliary Functional Sections
     
    • Noise Reduction Section: Built-in impedance composite mufflers, which absorb medium and high-frequency noise through sound-absorbing materials and offset low-frequency noise through expansion chambers, effectively reducing the noise generated by fan operation and airflow movement, and ensuring that the indoor noise level meets the specifications (e.g., ≤45dB for civil buildings, ≤60dB for laboratories).
    • Maintenance Section: Equipped with large-size maintenance doors and built-in maintenance platforms, facilitating operation and maintenance personnel to enter the unit for filter replacement, fan maintenance, surface cooler cleaning and other operations.
    • Air Supply Section: Connected to the air supply duct, some units are equipped with manual/electric air volume control valves to realize air volume distribution for different branches and meet the air supply needs of different areas.
