What is a cleanroom?
Most people have misunderstandings about cleanrooms and often refer to them as sterile rooms. In fact, it is extremely difficult to create a completely sterile space. The more professional term is cleanroom.
What issues should we pay attention to when using a cleanroom?
Strictly control personnel access to the cleanroom. Access control is recommended, allowing entry only for staff with work requirements. Unnecessary visits are prohibited. Please follow the designated routes when entering and exiting.
Using a Cleanroom
Turn on the air purification & conditioning system and UV lamps in advance and let them run for at least 30 minutes. All experimental items shall be disinfected by UV lamps in the pass box for 30 minutes before being brought in. Prepare all supplies fully to avoid repeated entry and exit, which may increase contamination risks.
All personnel must change into dedicated garments and shoes, and wear masks and hair caps that fully cover hair. Proceed through the air shower to the buffer zone before entering the lab.
Note: Personnel with respiratory or skin diseases are advised not to enter the cleanroom to prevent interference with experimental results.
Maintain strict aseptic operation during experiments. No loud talking or noise making. Drinking and eating are prohibited. Do not bring any irrelevant items into the laboratory.
Thoroughly clean and disinfect the premises after experiments, then run UV lamps for 30 minutes. Please note that UV lamps have a service life. Keep usage records regularly. Daily monitoring with a UV intensity meter is highly recommended.
